Both the two pesto sauces – with and without garlic – are produced using the best PDO basil, the best Pecorico Romano cheese, the best Grana Padano Cheese and mixing them with cashews, pine nuts and olive oil. In one version garlic is added, too, while the other one does not contain it so as to meet the requirements of customers who do not like its flavour without jeopardizing the taste of this delicious sauce. Adding hot water taken from the pot pasta is cooking in yields a bright green sauce ready to coat both wheath pasta and egg noodles. Pesto sauce is also used to boost the taste of vegetable soups and as a garnish.
